What would happen if there were no Walmart?

I was wondering, ...What would happen if there were no Walmart? I am actually old enough to remember a time when I hadn't heard of Walmart. I did my shopping at smaller, local chains and privately owned drug stores and groceries. They have all long since gone out of business.
